Hello - I was just wondering if anyone had some insider info, such as prestige, salaries, clients, type of work etc, on two companies:

1) Celerant Consulting

2) The new 'consulting' arm of Ernst and Young.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

T

Tom - if you search for the company name using the search box on the right side of the main forum page, you'll find tons has been written about most consulting firms... Tony

Andy McC

T,

yep worked for them for a while.

Great experience, hard work. I left in 2001 after a big shake up where they got rid of the people I worked with. A bunch of them set up "Evolve" along the same lines. I now work for a smaller offshoot who work very differently.

Prestige - very much a "Proudfoot" clone, os good recognition as an implementation consultancy. Not much "new thinking" just good at the basics.

Chase large contracts - so quite high risk.

Implementation - dependant on your age/experience you could start as project admin (lots of hours, low pay, excellent experience) or further up the food chain. All in all, 5 days on client site, lots of hours (especially on the analytical side), JFDI a favourite saying (just f###ing do it). But you will learn a lot. And you need to be able to drink alcohol!!Any more q's please ask.
