What are the possible future scenarios for ADL?

Consultancies in my opinion only have 2 real assets. Their brand and their people. Why did Accenture spend £100m+ on rebranding - because of the importance of the brand. So I'd say ADL is pretty much dead as a brand - any consultancy that acquires them is likely to shed the name. After all, who wants to be consulted by a firm that went bust?? There will be a number of firms interested in acquiring ADL's human capital, but since headhunters could poach most of the key staff for a potential acquirer there is clearly an upper price they will be willing to pay. I suspect we may see different acquirers in different geographies...

I think they might be able to survive by retrenching around technology and environmental protection - that they went bust is less important in this area. It appears they've shut their London office and all their UK consultants and are only in Cambridge.

They will never be big in general consulting again, which is a bit of a shame as they had some good people and a good working atmosphere, but poor leadership.
