Hello, I have been working in the hotel industry for the past 8 years in various supervisory and management positions in both North America and most recently Asia. I have a B.A. in Psychology, I am quite adept with Microsoft windows, and have been heavily involved with the training of the hotel staff on our Fidelio property management software, that was recently implemented. My question, I am interested in working as a software trainer for a vendor such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, etc, and eventually get involved in Change Management. Is it necessary for me to return to school i.e. 1 year ITP program to get a piece of paper, and also to gain and solid foundation or are these companies willing to hire and train from scratch? Thank you.
